Steven McCurry's Blog

Before I leave you with a great weekend goodbye:

I love this blog post by Steven McCurry.

In January and February, 2011, thousands of Yemenis marched to demand a change in government.  The president who has been in power for decades pledged not to run again when his term runs out in 2013.   With 40% unemployment, malnutrition, and rising food prices, it is difficult to see how he can keep the reins of power without major concessions.

There are so much more out there we don't see, hear, or consider that's happening around the world as we speak.

Have a great weekend, full of love and happiness!
(Almost Valentine's Day!)

It's Fashion Week!

It's that time of the year again...Fashion Week! Happens twice a year when everyone in the fashion district is scurrying away in their studios to factories to the magical pattern makers, sewers, and all the people you DON'T see that actually make the impossible, POSSIBLE!

Stoll Fashion & Technology Center is at the pulse of New York’s fashion community. The Center is a nexus of designers, developers, and business partners alike – a place where Stoll customers old and new can collaborate on knitwear development and solutions. Stoll works with some of New York’s most respected and influential designers in the industry, to name a few are Calvin Klein, Zac Posen, Cushnie Et Ochs, Ralph Lauren, Sophie Theallet, Doori, Freemans Sporting Club, and much more, as well as emerging designers and even students from the leading fashion schools.

The Stoll Fashion & Technology facility hosts the largest knitwear archive in the world, a constantly growing number of patterns in our stitch and pattern library, and educational courses in hand knitting. Dedicated to the development, inspiration, and education of designers and students, Stoll Fashion & Technology is a growing resource in epicenter of the fashion capital of the world.

On top of that! STOLL SPACE rents out our venue for pop-up showrooms; fashion shows; window displays; art exhibitions; convention center; trade shows; ... pretty much you name it! If we can execute it with our space (and your ambition/drive/and powers)-we'll make it happen! :)

Currently, I'm scouting for Artists to curate an exhibition show at our space!
Our events changes from month to month and the nature of our business here...
